Cisplatin 1, Me 0.
The cisplatin is done for this week. It's too early to feel any side effects (which might take a few hours to a few weeks). While it's going in the Cisplatin doesn't feel like anything. The Gemzar (Gemcitabine) is running now and that stings a bit. It's livable, though. It just feels like someone lightly pinching my arm near the IV site.

Hey! A blog! Just found it.
Well, that's the first one over with. Wendy remarked that you've got a fight ahead of you, and that's a battle you just made it through just now. I expect the famous Matheny bone structure will give you a good bald, if hairloss is in your future.
Cheering for you...
Hang in there bro'
even the names of the drugs are creepy, although Gemzar could be a pretty good stripper name. I agree with John, I think you'll look pretty damn good bald.
The gamers will appreciate my quip the other day: "when you do chemo you get to re-roll" your hair" It comes back different. Usually finer and curlier, and sometimes with better coverage than before. Sometimes its a totally different color. I'm very curious to see how that goes. Dependent on whether I get a curly red fro, maybe I'll just shave my head from here on out....
Hey, whats wrong with red curls?
